Important Notice for Job Seekers: Center Board connects job seekers with opportunities across Kenya and beyond. We do not charge application fees, interview fees, or placement charges. Legitimate employers will never require you to send money via M-Pesa or wire transfers to secure employment. Report any suspicious listings to info@centerboard.co.ke immediately.

Welcome to Center Board. By accessing or using our website at https://centerboard.co.ke (the "Platform"), including all associated tools, calculators, content, and career databases, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions ("Terms"). If you do not agree with any part of these Terms, you must discontinue use of the Platform immediately.

Center Board is an integrated career intelligence, recruitment information, and HR advisory platform based in Nairobi, Kenya. Our services include:

  • Job Board & Vacancy Listings: Aggregated and employer-submitted job opportunities across multiple industries.
  • AI-Powered Career Tools: Interactive resume/CV generation, cover letter crafting, interview question preparation, and career coaching guidance.
  • Statutory Tax & Salary Calculators: Educational estimation tools covering Kenyan statutory deductions (PAYE, NSSF, SHIF, Housing Levy) and international tax systems.
  • Professional Blog & Insights: In-depth research, workplace policy analyses, and career progression guides.
  • Enterprise HR Consultation: Professional advisory services for Kenyan SMEs and growing organizations.

To ensure complete clarity for all candidates and employers:

  • Aggregated Opportunities: Center Board displays job vacancies compiled from verified public postings, corporate career pages, and employer submissions. Unless explicitly specified, Center Board is not the hiring employer and does not act as an employment agency representing the hiring entity.
  • No Employment Guarantee: Listing or applying for a position via Center Board does not guarantee an interview, an employment offer, or a specific compensation outcome. Hiring decisions remain entirely within the discretion of the recruiting company.
  • Independent Verification Required: While we exercise diligence to curate authentic listings, users are advised to independently verify job specifications, company credentials, and contact details with the recruiting employer before submitting sensitive documentation.
  • Zero-Tolerance for Recruitment Scams: Center Board strictly prohibits any fee-charging vacancy. If you encounter any listing demanding payment for application forms, medical evaluations, training, or interview consideration, immediately report it to info@centerboard.co.ke. We promptly investigate and remove fraudulent listings.

Our Platform incorporates artificial intelligence (including large language model services such as Google Gemini) to assist users with career materials:

  • Assistive Nature of Tools: AI summary generators, cover letter writers, and career coaches provide drafting suggestions based on the parameters you provide. AI output does not constitute certified human career counseling or professional executive headhunting.
  • User Responsibility: Artificial intelligence may occasionally generate incomplete, inaccurate, or outdated phrasing. You are solely responsible for reviewing, fact-checking, and verifying all generated summaries, achievements, and claims before submitting resumes or application letters to prospective employers.
  • Client-Side Processing: Resume and cover letter inputs are handled within your local browser environment. You retain exclusive ownership of the content you draft.

Our salary and statutory tax calculators (e.g., PAYE, NSSF, SHIF, Housing Levy, and foreign tax calculators) are engineered based on publicly accessible statutory formulas, official Kenya Revenue Authority (KRA) tax brackets, and relevant statutory instruments:

  • Educational & Estimation Purposes: Calculations are provided exclusively for informational estimation. Actual net pay and tax liability may vary based on unique circumstances, non-cash benefits, insurance reliefs, secondary pensions, or changing statutory legislation.
  • Not Financial, Accounting, or Tax Advice: Center Board does not provide certified public accountancy services via this website. For binding payroll audits or corporate tax filings, consult a certified member of the Institute of Certified Public Accountants of Kenya (ICPAK) or the KRA.

When interacting with the Platform, you agree that you will NOT:

  • Use the Platform for any unlawful purpose or in violation of any applicable Kenyan or international law.
  • Submit false, misleading, defamatory, or fraudulent information in contact inquiries or resume builders.
  • Deploy automated scripts, bots, spiders, or scrapers to harvest job listings, user data, or proprietary content without prior written authorization from Center Board.
  • Attempt to compromise the security, integrity, or availability of our servers, networks, or connected databases.
  • Transmit unsolicited commercial messages (spam) through our forms or contact channels.

All content, branding, logos, graphics, calculator algorithms, layout designs, and original editorial articles on Center Board are the exclusive property of Center Board or its licensors and are protected under the Copyright Act (Cap 130 of the Laws of Kenya) and international intellectual property conventions.

You are granted a limited, revocable, non-exclusive license to access and view content for personal, non-commercial career development. You may not republish, distribute, mirror, or commercially exploit our original articles or calculator software without express written permission.

The Platform contains links to third-party websites, including external employer career portals, government regulatory portals (e.g., KRA, NSSF, SHA), and social media platforms. These external sites are not under Center Board's control. We do not endorse and assume no responsibility for the accuracy, content, privacy practices, or availability of any third-party resource.

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW:

  • THE PLATFORM AND ALL ASSOCIATED SERVICES ARE PROVIDED ON AN "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" BASIS WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, OR ACCURACY.
  • CENTER BOARD DOES NOT WARRANT THAT THE PLATFORM WILL OPERATE UNINTERRUPTED, SECURE, OR ERROR-FREE, NOR THAT ERRORS WILL BE IMMEDIATELY CORRECTED.
  • IN NO EVENT SHALL CENTER BOARD, ITS DIRECTORS, EMPLOYEES, OR AGENTS BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES (INCLUDING LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, CAREER OPPORTUNITY, OR REPUTATION) ARISING OUT OF OR IN CONNECTION WITH YOUR USE OF OR INABILITY TO USE THE PLATFORM.

You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless Center Board, its officers, employees, and affiliates from and against any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of or in any way connected with your breach of these Terms, your misuse of the Platform, or your violation of the rights of any third party.

These Terms shall be governed by, interpreted, and construed in accordance with the Laws of the Republic of Kenya, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.

In the event of any controversy or dispute arising between you and Center Board relating to these Terms, the parties shall first endeavor in good faith to resolve the matter amicably through direct negotiation. Any dispute not resolved within 30 days shall be submitted to the exclusive jurisdiction of the competent courts of law located in Nairobi, Kenya.

We reserve the right to modify or replace these Terms at any time. Any changes will become effective upon posting the revised Terms to this page with an updated "Last Reviewed" date. Continued use of the Platform after changes constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.
