1. Purpose of This Disclosure
At Center Board, we believe trust is built on absolute transparency. This Advertising and Monetization Disclosure explains how our platform is funded, distinguishes clearly between our current technical state and future commercial plans, and guarantees that our editorial independence is never compromised by advertising considerations.
2. Current Website Status: No Active Advertisements Today
As of the date of this document:
- Center Board does not serve third-party commercial advertisements, automated pop-up campaigns, or affiliate marketing links.
- All interactive tools—including the AI CV Builder, Cover Letter Maker, and Kenya/International Tax Calculators—are provided completely free of charge to all visitors.
- Our operations are funded directly through enterprise HR consultancy, customized recruitment solutions, and corporate training programs.
3. Future Monetization: Google AdSense Integration
As our user base expands across Kenya and the wider continent, server infrastructure, API computation, and high-frequency statutory research costs increase. To maintain open, unrestricted public access to our career ecosystem, Center Board plans to apply for and implement Google AdSense and related programmatic advertising partnerships in the future.
When Google AdSense or another advertising network is activated on the website:
- Third-party ad networks will serve contextual and interest-based advertisements across designated display slots.
- Google and its certified advertising partners may use cookies (such as the DoubleClick DART cookie) to deliver advertisements based on a user's visit to Center Board and other sites across the web.
- Advertisements will be visibly demarcated with labels such as "Advertisement," "Ad," or "Sponsored" to prevent any confusion with our editorial content.
4. Ad Experience Principles & Anti-Deceptive Layouts
Center Board strictly adheres to the Google Publisher Policies and the Coalition for Better Ads standards. When advertising is launched, we pledge:
- Zero Deceptive Ads: No fake "Download" buttons, deceptive navigation prompts, system error alerts, or disguised call-to-action buttons.
- No Intrusive Formats: No auto-playing audio ads, aggressive full-screen popups that trap the user, or layouts that push essential content below excessive advertising banners.
- Clear Separation: Advertisements will never be intermingled with calculator input fields or interactive form elements in a manner that could trick users into accidental clicks.
- Fast Performance: Asynchronously loaded advertising scripts to protect page speed and mobile responsiveness.
5. Editorial Independence & Commercial Separation
Our editorial staff operates with complete independence from commercial and advertising operations:
- Advertisers have no say over which jobs are published, how salary calculations are computed, or how statutory tax guides are authored.
- We never endorse an employer, financial institution, or service provider in exchange for advertising spend without prominent and unambiguous disclosure.
- Our career guidance and statutory breakdowns are based exclusively on primary legislation, KRA notices, and objective professional research.
6. User Choices & Ad Personalization Controls
When advertising goes live on Center Board, you retain full control over the personalization of advertisements served to your browser:
- You can manage or opt out of personalized Google advertisements anytime by visiting Google Ads Settings.
- You can opt out of behavioral advertising from multiple participating networks by visiting the Digital Advertising Alliance (DAA) or Your Online Choices (EDAA).
- Review our Cookie Policy for detailed browser instructions on blocking third-party advertising cookies entirely.
